Hong Kong, crazy with Sweet Bordeaux!
Again this year, a huge success for Sweet Bordeaux wines at the 3rd Annual Wine & Dine Festival in Hong Kong! 12 Sweet Bordeaux winemakers have made the trip to serve wines at the booth at the Wine and Dine Festival which was full of guests during the four day event. With over 8,000 tastings, the sweet bordeaux wines booth was the most popular of Bordeaux’s wines!
We have innovated this year by hosting two additional events: a press lunch on sweet wines and Chinese food pairings with the chef Tsang Chiu King and Sommelier Zachary Yu. Award-winning Executive Chef - East, Tsang Chiu King has been at the helm of two-Michelin starred Cantonese restaurant, Ming Court, at Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong since April 2004. Langham Place’s wine guy, Zach Yu is the go-to man when it comes to finding out about a good tipple. A native of Hong Kong, Zach joined Langham Place in February 2010. His role is about encouraging a positive wine experience and opening up a new dimension to the wine culture for guests at Langham Place. Zach is a member of the Hong Kong Sommeliers Association and a certified sommelier member of the Association of Bartenders and Sommeliers Macau.
We also produced the first sweet night in Hong Kong …
A very successful evening, in the magical setting of Hullett House, the historic building of Hong Kong, together with some 250 wine lovers, to meet the winemakers and local producers, and enjoyed canapes made by the chef Philippe Orrico.
